Set in the beatiful countryside of the Deux Sevres/Vendee
borders, our 19th century cottage provides a comfortable base for a tranquil
and peaceful holiday.
The cottage has been renovated and modernised but retains its old character.
The
old Roman town of Vouvant, the outdoor swimming pool at Secondigny, Futuroscope
at Poitiers, the Puy de Fou, the Mervent Forest, the park in the peaceful setting
at Largeasse with the River Nantaise and the famous site of the granite rocks
of Rocher Branlant.
Closer to home are the peaceful lanes for walks in the countryside, and the
fishing lakes at the newly opened Pescalis just a couple of miles away. There
are also many excellent restaurants in the area.
New
for 2004. Visitors are eligible for special travel fares with Brittany Ferries,
Eurotunnel and Sea France when booking our house.

A
large terrace, sheltered on three sides, looks out on the secluded south-west
facing garden. The terrace is ideal for eating outside in the summer time.
It
has a comfortable sitting room, a well equipped games room, a large dining room,
fully equipped modern kitchen plus a washing machine and tumble dryer, a toilet
and bathroom and, upstairs, four bedrooms two shower rooms and toilets.
There
is full central heating for out-of-season comfort as well as a wood burner in
the games room and open fireplace in the sitting room.
